Office location is flexible within northwestern North Dakota region for the right candidate.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers quality consulting services to customers in the area estate, retirement, transition, and succession planning. The position will enhance and expand customer relationships and create opportunities to build and further grow AgCountry’s reputation in the agricultural community. The position will require the consultant to work directly with customers to understand customer needs and goals and to present the best solutions.
  • Collaborates as a key resource in designing, developing, and implementing AgCountry education programs in the area of estate, retirement, transition and succession planning. Participates in the development and delivery of Succession and Retirement Planning program content, procedures, and goals to enhance the total value brought to AgCountry customers and staff. Ensures that solutions are responsive to customer needs, the marketplace, and AgCountry teammates.
  • Coordinates with corporate departments, branch offices, and co-workers to address customer goals.
  • Maintains a highly sophisticated level of knowledge and expertise in the estate planning, accounting, tax, and consulting fields while serving as an educational and informational resource for customers and staff. Proactively expands and maintains expert and technical competency through continuing education.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, agriculture, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • A self-starter who can manage many open tasks and files at a time.
  • Five or more years of accounting, financial, business, tax, or succession and retirement experience
  • Knowledge of agriculture, preferably with a farm background
  • Knowledge of AgCountry’ s financial products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence interactions.
  • Strong virtual and live presentation skills
  • Analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others, strong teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and bring solutions with minimal direction from supervisor
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Official Designation such as CRPC, CFP, CTFA, CPA, or JD preferred
