Senior Associate, National Policy Reform and Advocacy

The Foundation is seeking a senior-level professional to join the Policy, Reform and Advocacy (PRA) team and drive forward priorities that advance federal policies to improve the lives of children, youth and young adults. The senior associate will manage issue advocacy efforts and grant-making strategies on key federal policy priorities and issues; and promote and guide collaborative efforts on policy reform priorities within the unit's federal, state, and local policy teams and across the Foundation.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- Experience and expertise on federal policy issues relating to the well-being of children, youth, and young adults particularly health care/mental health, safety net programs and income supports
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree; ideal candidate holds a graduate degree (e.g., MPP, MPA, MBA, MPH, MSW, or JD) or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working within federal government on relevant issues and/or experience advocating on federal policy issues, with a demonstrated deep understanding of federal policymaking process
- Excellent writing, public speaking and presentations skills, including experience presenting complex subject matter to non-expert audiences and high-level decision makers
