Spanish Teacher
Charlevoix Public Schools is currently in search of a dynamic secondary Spanish teacher who can cultivate a positive learning environment, uphold high academic standards, and foster a student-centered classroom. This position is based at Charlevoix Middle High School, serving students from grades 7 through 12.
Qualifications:
- Spanish 7-12 Certification
- Must meet Highly Qualified requirements as defined by the Michigan Department of Education
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate student learning, growth, and achievement.
- Support and monitor individual student progress, utilizing data to adapt teaching strategies.
- Establish and reinforce classroom rules and procedures to manage student behavior effectively.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with legal requirements, district policies, and school regulations.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Possess a strong understanding of Multi-tiered Systems of Support.
- Participate in department, school, district, and parental meetings.
- Ability to effectively demonstrate a whole child approach to teaching.
- Ensure consistent and punctual attendance.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
