Who We Are
The Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities, NFP has been providing exceptional personalized, client-centered therapy services to kids throughout eastern Iowa and western Illinois since 1949. We're proud to share that in our 74-year history, we've never turned a child away due to the family's inability to pay for needed services! Our waiting list continues to grow, so we're looking for fun and engaging Occupational Therapists to join our incredibly talented, caring, and collaborative multi-disciplinary team!
What We Do
Our therapy team makes a difference in the lives of our kids, by helping them develop the skills that will allow them to grow into self-sufficient, successful adults! We have a diverse client base and our OTs work with kids who have Sensory Processing Disorder, ASD, ADHD, motor coordination difficulties and other developmental and learning difficulties. This is what you'll do as a member of our team:
- Help kids within our clinical hours: Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Complete all documentation according to Children's Therapy Center, AOTA, and third-party regulatory standards
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations based on each child's current functional status, using standardized testing, clinical observation, and input from family/caregivers
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to best meet the needs of each child
- Modify treatment plans as needed, based on regular assessments
- Adhere to frequency, duration, and appropriate treatment guidelines in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law
- Engage in comprehensive, effective, and inclusive communication with families/caregivers and CTC team
- Provide accurate and timely information to insurance providers to secure medically necessary services
- Work with our Director of Billing & Scheduling to help ensure accurate and timely reimbursement
- Collaborate with our leadership team regarding ongoing quality assurance and improvement activities
- Participate in community education, marketing, and fundraising activities as requested
- Assist in the development of new clinical programs as needed
What You'll Need to Join our Team
- A master's degree from an AOTA approved occupational therapy program
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license
- Current Iowa Occupational Therapy license (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy setting
- Sensory integration experience
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Flexible/adaptable personality
