Job Purpose
The Support Coordinator serves as a case manager and instructor assessing, planning, facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating each sophomore's educational needs in the areas of academics, inclusion, social skill development, self-determination, independence, time management, and organization.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in special education, occupational therapy, or disability-related field and a minimum of two years of experience working with students with mild intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is required.
A Master's degree and teaching certification in intellectual disabilities is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires being on-call outside of the 37.5-hour work week on a rotating schedule with other employees. Occasional evening hours and weekends may be required.
