Job Summary

The Program Manager of Leadership Initiatives manages leadership programs and services for the Center for Leadership & Service (CLS). Leads programs such as the Academy of Leaders Program, the Student Leadership Summit, Programs and Demand, and other student advanced leadership initiatives. This position is primarily based at the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) and will be required to travel to the Modesto M Maidique Campus (MMC).
  • Assists with the development and implementation of programs and
  • services for the Center for Leadership & Service at both the MMC and BBC locations.
  • Represents the Center for Leadership & Service (CLS) at the BBC location meetings, committees, and collaborative programs.
  • Develops partnerships at the BBC location departments that align with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Serves as a facilitator for the Academy of Leaders Graduate Student Track, 2.0 Online Student Tracks, and other assigned specialty tracks.
  • Works with the Academy of Leaders Program and the LEAD Team student peer facilitator group.
  • Plans and executes the annual Student Leadership Summit event by leading Division-wide committee and responsible for all program logistics.
  • Accesses a third-party system (software, gateway, etc.) that processes, transmits, and/or stores cardholder information.
  • Provides support to the CLS Student Food Pantry operations at the BBC location, as directed by the CLS Program Director.
  • Serves as a Pro-card user for departmental transactions. Assures compliance and adherence to university credit card policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing leadership and/or community engagement programs.
  • Experience working with college students.
  • Experience presenting to small and large groups.
