Job Summary
The Academic Program Facilitator will provide support for the participants of the Appalachian Hardwood Training Initiative (AHTI) Grant to ensure onboarding and completion and will proactively guide participants through the workshops. They will also lead outreach efforts in the region to partner with industry representatives and help recruit participants to the program.
Job Duties:
- Work with college on all recruitment and enrollment of AHTI workshops in a participating college region.
- Maintain enrollment records with specific requirements of grant compliance and the ARC requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Work with college on scheduling of workshops and maintain communication with local employers.
- Meet or exceed AHTI grant outcomes.
- Work within a common structure to access, intake and track participants including tuition costs and wages.
- Make referrals to other community partners and organizations for services as necessary.
- Communicate with local employees to promote training workshops as outlined in the AHTI grant.
- Assist employers with retention and recruitment efforts with program participants.
- Assist with Advisory Group for all activities of the project to ensure conformity with the strategic initiatives as set forth in this proposal.
- Work with the Workforce Programming Coordinator in the development of the AHTI training workshops to be offered by the college.
- Serve as the participating college's primary point of contact.
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Project Coordinator and the other participating college's Coaches.
- Collaborate with community groups and external agencies to build relationships and promote the AHTI program.
- Represent the participating college at various regional and national gatherings as necessary.
- Develop and nurture a positive public presence with the external community through volunteer service on committees and boards; participate in community events; and one-on-one/small group interaction with community leaders, citizens, donors and prospects as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 1-2 years relevant experience.
