Job Summary
Big Sandy Community and Technical College is looking for a Student Affairs Assistant III to provide quality customer services to current and prospective students; assist with customer needs based on the request made via the phone, internet, office visits, or the call center; and provide information related to the individual student accounts to departmental based on request.
Job Duties:
- Provides customer service to prospective, current, and former students.
- Assists students with registration issues and requesting and distributing student transcripts.
- Answer incoming calls and responds to inquiries. This will include current student information or Legacy records (grades, address updates, verification of program plan, assigned advisors, post transcript fees, or general questions).
- Work with the National Student Clearing House to process Incoming/Outgoing transcripts.
- Enters evaluated transcripts into PeopleSoft in a timely manner, at most two weeks.
- Serves as a backup for graduation and degree audits, and assists with correcting CPE errors as needed.
- Performs various data entry and clerical duties to maintain accurate student records.
- Prepares, receives, reviews, and maintains department records and/or documents.
- Opens and distributes mail and files.
- Maintains office supplies as needed.
- Works with selective admission requirements.
- Assists with priority and general registration.
- Works with Registrar to ensure grades are entered at the conclusion of the semester or at the end of a bi-term session.
- The ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Out Standing customer service skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree and and three years related work experience.
