Job Purpose
Situated within the Office of Sponsored Programs (formerly the Office of Research), and reporting to the Post-Award Specialist Team Lead, this position is responsible for partnering with University investigators to activate, maintain, and close out assigned portions of TTU's award portfolio.

Essential Functions
Assist investigators in the activation, operation, and close-out of their awarded project, including: Review/Modify/Develop award budget vis--vis proposed budget Assist departments to prepare award activation documentation. Prepare Personnel Action Forms in partnership with Human Resources. Initiate and review procurement and travel activities in collaboration with Purchasing Office. Monitor and reconcile expenditures in collaboration with Grants Accounting. Facilitate disbursement of effort reports to project personnel. Monitor budget versus actuals in collaboration with Grants Accounting. Prepare budget revisions as needed. Monitor for compliance with uniform guidance and sponsor requirements. Prepare non-technical close outs in collaboration with investigators. Adhere to agreed-upon processes and documented SOPs. Maintain working knowledge of external regulations, internal policies and general best practices informing award research administration.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution of higher education. One (1) year of progressively responsible experience within the field of research administration or grant accounting, or three (3) years of experience in general project management or accounting. Additional applicable experience may be substituted for formal education.
Preferred Qualifications
Special consideration to those with experience with electronic research administration systems and Banner ERP software.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience. Administrative Paygrade 42.
