Job Summary:
The Business Operations/Facilities Manager is responsible for providing oversight and integration of the day-to-day facility operations of the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU. Under the direction of the Sr. Associate Dean, the incumbent works independently to execute initiatives, facilitate facility work orders and originate new administrative space projects. This position works collaboratively with TCU facilities and facility management of leased properties. This position will serve as the Burnett School of Medicine safety officer for all owned or leased school buildings.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:Serves as a liaison for facility and operational needs among the Burnett School of Medicine and TCU main campus; communicating requests, coordination, needs and handling issues and problems as they arise. Assists with the development and implementation of goals and policies of the Burnett School of Medicine for safety and facility management. Coordinates space utilization for all School of Medicine properties and at the TCU campus for School of Medicine staff and faculty, to include individual office and school-wide moves. Provides problem-solving assistance to various on-campus and off-campus agencies and units related to safety, equipment procurement, storage needs and room set up and take down for special event room utilization. Responsible for maintaining TCU required safety training and reporting for faculty and staff. Responsible for safety training sub-captains for each floor at all school locations. Develops recommendations and strategies to improve efficiency and customer service at the school, as well as work directly with staff to guide various support services while applying the knowledge of programs, operations and administrative policies and procedures. In coordination with the Director, Community Relations and Special Events, assists and participates in the planning, development and execution of campus-wide staff, faculty and student meeting and social events. Assists in the development of the Burnett School of Medicine security plan, in coordination with the security plans for TCU. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 1 year of facility management or related experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Safety training.
• Work order management.
• Prior experience in a university setting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of specific job related programs.
• Knowledge of customer service techniques.
• Knowledge of department specific computer software.
• Skill in some or all components of Microsoft Office.
• Skill in Microsoft Windows navigation.
• Skill in basic keyboarding, record keeping techniques.
• Ability to clearly communicate information.
• Ability to draft grammatically correct correspondence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to assume administrative tasks and make independent decisions regarding daily activities and building processes.

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.

• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
