Job Summary
The College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment seeks an Administrative Assistant for the Research Office.
The Administrative Assistant will manage the Associate Dean of Research's communications, including written and oral communication with state and federal legislators, donors, government agency officials, and research collaborators. He/she will manage records, coordinate reporting, and develop materials for web site design and management. Formatting of reports in Word, Excel or other forms is required, including document editing, layout, and design.
The Assistant will work independently to arrange and coordinate local events and meetings, as well as coordinate schedules of visitors including: announcements, printed programs and agendas, invitations, catering arrangements, decorations, hotel accommodations, web sites, scheduling, electronic registration fees, conference accounts, parking, working with staff in various locations for room set-up, and a/v equipment arrangement. Will arrange travel and complete other duties as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
MS Windows, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SAP, PC. Desktop publ., Outlook, OSPA database.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
No
Preferred Education/Experience
Driver's license preferred.
