Occasional farm work with no air conditioning or heating. Exposure to :Risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job, Loud noises, Hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, Temperature extremes, Burns, Cuts/Punctures
Shift
Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM (37.5/hours)
Occasional weekend work possible
Job Summary
The College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, department of Plant and Soil Sciences seeks a Laboratory Technician Senior. This position provides research technical support to faculty extension specialists involved in dark tobacco research and extension. Agronomic plot management is a major component of the job responsibilities. The position requires an understanding of research plot experimentation and accurate data collection techniques. Participation in all phases of the crop production cycle from planting through harvest, including necessary pesticide applications, is expected. So an enjoyment of agriculture production and working in agriculture field environments will enhance job satisfaction. Moderate mechanical skills and an ability to operate agricultural equipment are needed. The position is located in Princeton, KY.
There is an internal employee being considered for this position ( IEBC).
