Job Summary
The department of Ophthalmology is seeking an Ophthalmic Tech Supervisor for their Shriner's clinic. The Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight and operations in support of the Ophthalmology clinics. The Technician Supervisor is a part of the department leadership team and provides input to improvement of clinical operations.
This position will recruit and interview staffing and interface with administration and HR to hire and onboard staff. The Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor is responsible for ensuring staff are compliant with all policies and procedures, creating weekly/daily clinic staffing schedules, management of time off requests and any staff corrective action. This position will collect metrics and analyze staffing needs in support of growth in clinic needs. This position is a working supervisor and may need to step in at any time to perform patient care and diagnostics, so this person must be proficient in all sub-specialty areas and diagnostics of Ophthalmology and will assess the competency of staff to perform these requirements as well.
We are a fast-paced and growing ophthalmology enterprise and hire people who enjoy working in this type of environment, with the goal of being the preferred provider for sub-specialty ophthalmic eye care.
